  • Color: Negro

Comments: Strung a full set in my prestige MP at 56 lbs same as my current string of choice, Pro Hurricane 18g. Did notice a little extra spin. After 8 sets of doubles, the tension held up well. However, my shoulder is still sore. I wouldn't recommend this string as a hybrid due to the flat sharp edges.

Comments: While it's no longer my first string of choice, I've been a Black Code fan for years for it's soft feel, great control and reasonably good tension/feel maintenance (which for my was about 2 weeks with a full bed before they felt pretty dead). I feel like the 4S strings are similar in name alone. They are obviously designed for more bite and lower power but I found them to be significantly more stiff -- not so bad at first but increasingly more uncomfortable after the 1st hit. It wasn't so noticeable in the first hour or so the first time I but the 2nd time and 3rd time, I couldn't believe they were the same strings. The seemed to get less and less responsive drastically from one hitting session to the next, and this was in the span of 5-6 days. If it weren't for the Biphase crosses, it would have been even more pronounced. Unfortunately, I have 2-3 more sets but doubt I'll string these up in my own sticks again.

Comments: This is the most uncomfortable string I have ever tried. I love the amazing spin, the great control and the very low power. However, this is so harsh feeling that I for the first time in my life have encountered wrist pain. And that is from a Wilson Six.One 95, which with its mass usually is very solid and comfortable in my opinion, even if you hit outside the sweetspot. If your body can take it, and you have proper technique, this string provides amazing spin and control. Don't expect it to be comfortable though.
