Overview

With updates to the shaft construction and dampening technology, the VCORE PRO 100 (300) remains a great option for the intermediate player in search of a light player's racket with impressive precision on full swings. It should also work well  for the more advanced player in search of maneuverability. Although it lacks the mass and plow-through of the VCORE PRO 97 models, this stick's combination of speed, control and spin deliver a seductive hitting experience. For this generation of the VCORE PRO series, Yonex implements an Improved Throat Design, which combines a thinner and longer shaft with a lowered throat, resulting in more torque, dwell time and spin-potential. Also new to this series is a Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM), which is fully integrated into the handle in order to reduce unwanted vibrations for a cleaner feel at impact. On groundstrokes, this racket feels stable for its weight class. Full swings are rewarded with easy placement, and there is enough spin potential to bring the ball down hard. The thin 21mm straight beam and moderate 65RA flex give this racket more control and better feedback than you'll find with a typical modern player's racket. At net, the VCORE PRO 100 (300) comes around quickly, and there's enough mass in the head to give it decent stability against pace. On serves the high level of precision and spin will enable you to place the ball effectively. You'll also have enough control on service returns to swing out and keep your replies deep. Ultimately, with its controllable power, easy access to spin and comfortably solid feel, the VCORE Pro 100 (300) is a great option for the intermediate player who wants to hit a more precise ball.
