Overview

ProKennex adds another chapter to the Light version of the Ki Q+ 5. Updated in 2021 with a new cosmetic and a slightly more stable weight, this racket continues to be one of the more comfortable and arm-friendly options in its class. What separates it from the other Ki Q+ 5 models is speed. At only 280 grams, this racket is ideal for the dedicated beginner who wants to start hitting with more pace and spin. It should also work for the rising intermediate player who wants a spin-friendly weapon with raw speed. The Ki Q+ 5 Light features the most evolved version of Kinetic Quadfocus Technology, which deploys movable mass around multiple locations to create a more stable and powerful response. With its Comfort Cap technology, ProKennex puts its Kinetic system in the butt cap, resulting in even greater arm-protection against harsh impact vibrations. Other notable features include a SpiralTech Carbon layup, which removes impurities and air pockets from the graphite layers in order to provide extra strength and dampening. On groundstrokes the Ki Q+5 Light offers a seductive combination of speed, spin and precision. Improving players will have the needed maneuverability to scramble on defense or crank winners on the run. At net the Ki Q+5 Light  comes around extremely fast to offer above average stability for its weight class. With this update to the the Ki Q+ 5 Light, ProKennex keeps a good thing going. Intermediate players who place a premium on maneuverability, precision and comfort should love this one.
