Overview

Prince adds another chapter to one of the game's most classic player's rackets. Named the Phantom 93P (18x20) this racket's compact head, thin box beam and dense 18x20 string pattern deliver a near unmatched level of control. Thanks to a its 346g strung weight, this update to the Phantom Pro 93P (18x20) feels wonderfully stable at impact, making it great for absorbing and redirecting pace. The signature technology of the 93P is an Anti-Torsion System which places Textreme and Twaron at 10 and 2 o'clock in the upper hoop and shaft. The payoff is a more solid and responsive feel higher in the stringbed where many advanced players make contact. This stick also packs a variable CTS Beam, which goes from 16.5mm in the shaft to 20.5mm at the tip. On groundstrokes this racket's compact head and beefy weight can be demanding, but the reward for wielding it correctly is hard to resist (think surgical targeting and buttery feedback). Although the dense pattern and laser-like trajectory make this an obvious choice for those with flatter mechanics, advanced players should have no problem bringing the ball down effectively with spin. At net solid preparation is rewarded with outstanding touch. There's also enough mass to redirect higher levels of pace deep into opposing territory. On serve, players who can get this racket moving fast will have enough directional control to target the lines with pace. Ultimately, with the second generation of the Phantom 93P (18x20), Prince keeps a good thing going. Players looking for a classic midsize player's racket should love this one.
