Overview

Introducing the Graphene Touch MxG 1, a modern player's racket with a user-friendly blend of speed, spin and controllable power. With its low swingweight, this stick offers easier acceleration than the majority of its competitors. It also boasts the smallest head (630cm²) and thinnest beam (22mm) in the MxG family. As a result, it gives you a little extra control for attacking the ball - the upshot is more confidence when selecting ambitious targets and/or adding power to your shots. Head builds this stick with MxG Technology, which combines the exceptional dampening of Graphene Touch with a 100% Magnesium throat bridge. By keeping the upper hoop more stable at impact, this unique throat bridge creates a more predictable launch angle off the string bed. It also permits longer main strings for added power and comfort. From the baseline, the MxG 1 moves through contact with explosive speed, and the open 16x19 string pattern supplies the needed bite for bringing the ball down sharply with spin. The MxG 1 is also mobile enough for hitting winners on the run or resetting the point with a defensive flick. At net this racket's raw speed makes it very effective on fast exchanges and reaction volleys. The speedy feel is also an asset on service returns where the MxG 1 comes around fast to deliver easy targeting. Although this racket errs on the side of speed over stability, there is plenty of room for advanced players to add weight. With the addition of the MxG 1 to the growing MxG family, Head has delivered a speedy and spin-friendly weapon to intermediate and advanced players.
