Overview

Head makes big changes the Instinct S but keeps the essential formula that made this such a perfect racket for beginner and intermediate players. This version gets updated with Graphene Touch, the softest version of Head's polarized weight system. The result is a racket that delivers easy power with less shock to the arm. To increase control, this racket’s head size has been slightly reduced, but it still managed to offer a forgiving response. In addition to a slightly thicker beam (see power), this stick also gets a nice boost in speed thanks to a more head light balance. The result is a more explosive and powerful feeling racket that makes it easier for the player ratchet up the pace and spin. From the baseline this racket offers decent comfort and stability for a light racket. The easy acceleration and open 16x19 string pattern provide the perfect recipe for spin, and the high level of maneuverability makes it ideal for cranking forehand winners on the run. At net the Instinct S moves into position like butter and performs exceptionally well on reaction volleys. The speedy feel is also an asset on service returns where this stick comes around fast to deliver easy targeting full swings. With this update Head has created a faster and more powerful Instinct S without sacrificing the original comfort. A great option for beginner and intermediate players. Also a smart choice for strong juniors ready to make the lead into an adult performance racket.
