Overview

Introducing Dunlop's FX 500, a light and comfortable player's racket that will help you ratchet up the pace and spin. At 11.2 ounces strung, the FX 500 is weighted for intermediate players, but it should also appeal to the advanced player in need of raw speed or a platform for customization. Although the FX 500 has a stiff construction, Dunlop has done an impressive job adding comfort. It starts with Sonic Core technology with Infinergy, which is a uniquely elastic material used at 2 & 10 o'clock to reduce impact vibrations. The FX 500 also benefits from Flex Touch Resin, a thermoplastic elastomer used in the shaft in order to soften impact and give you a little extra arm-protection. Additionally, Dunlop has retooled the grommet system with a Power Boost Groove to add even greater cushioning and power at impact. On groundstrokes the FX 500 explodes through contact to deliver very easy targeting on full swings. Boasting an open 16x19 string pattern, this racket puts a tight grip on the ball, and the manageable swingweight will help you accelerate powerfully through contact Although this stick doesn't have the plow-through and pop of the FX 500 Tour, the faster feel makes it great for scrambling on defence and cranking winners on the run. Ultimately, the FX 500 is an impressive addition to the FX line. Players looking for a speedy point and shoot weapon with easy power and above average comfort should love this one.
