Overview
Endorsed by Kei Nishikori, the Ultra Tour 95 CV is a serious weapon in the hands of an aggressive baseliner. With its 339-RDC swingweight, this racket has a dangerous combination of plow-through and power. It also comes with a slightly extended length, giving you extra momentum for ratcheting up the pace and spin. Although similar in spec to the Burn 95 Countervail, our playtesters found this model to play a tad softer. Another feature which softens the response is Countervail Technology, a uniquely flexible material designed to increase dampening and reduce muscle fatigue. From the baseline this racket does not get pushed around when the pace goes up. The compact head gives it surgical accuracy, and the feel is nicely dampened without sacrificing your connection to the ball. Experienced players who can deploy this racket's mass will be rewarded with genuine knock-out power. At net the Ultra 95 feels very solid and redirects pace without much fuss. Players with clean mechanics will find easy depth on block volleys, and there's enough power to end points with a bang. The slightly extended length adds power to serves where our playtesters reported an impressive combination of pace, spin and precision. This stick also shines on service returns where it does a great job blocking, chipping and counter-punching big first serves. With the Ultra 95 Tour, Wilson gives strong players an impressive combination of precision, plow through and pop.
