Overview
With the V-Sense 3, Volkl adds another chapter to one of their best game improvement racquets. Like its predecessor (the Super G version), this racquet is perfect for the beginner or intermediate player who wants comfort and power. It should also work well for the senior doubles players looking to regain a lost step. At just over 10 ounces strung, the V-Sense 3 will give you the tools to swing fast when additional pace or spin is desired. The 110in² head provides a generous and forgiving hitting area, and the extended 27.8" length delivers some serious momentum on full strokes. New to this version is Volkl's Precise Power Beam, which features a slightly less rounded profile for a more classic Volkl feel. The layup benefits from C3 Material, a uniquely strong tri-carbon matrix that enables a more strategic calibration of stiffness across the frame. Volkl also gives this racquet its time-tested Catapult Effect, which utilizes a spring in the grommet system for easier ball acceleration and luxurious comfort. On groundstrokes this racquet rewards medium length strokes with easy depth. The feel is wonderfully dampened thanks in part to the VSENSOR Handle. Counterpunches and chips feel stable, and there's impressive put-away power on full cuts. At net the V-Sense 3 offers the best of both worlds. It's light enough for quick exchanges, while still managing to feel solid when re-directing pace. The extended length will not only supercharge your overheads, but it will add big pace and easy depth to your serves. All in all, this is a great option for beginner or intermediate players looking for a light and powerful oversize racquet. Did we mention the comfort?
