Overview

For 2023 Yonex redesigns the VCORE 100 but keeps the raw speed and easy spin of the previous generation. Compared to the VCORE 95 and 98, this model is more powerful and forgiving, but it still delivers more than enough control for aggressive targeting. For 2023 Yonex reengineers the frame's geometry. In addition to redesigning the shaft and making the beam's face thinner, Yonex has widened the surface area of the racket's upper hoop, resulting in a more stable, powerful and spin-friendly hitting experience. Other new features include SIF Grommets, which deploys a silicone oil infusion to reduce the friction between the string and grommet. The upshot is greater string movement for increased snapback and more vicious ball rotation. Yonex has also lowered the RA, giving this stick great ball feedback. Like the previous generation, this racket benefits from 2-NAMD FlexForce Graphite in the upper shaft and lower hoop, enabling the racket to deflect and snapback effectively through impact. Ultimately, with some impressive changes to the beam and feel, this update checks all the right boxes.

Grading Scale

Unused

Racket has not been hit with but may have minor cosmetic defects. May or may not have been strung.

Grade A - Excellent

Racket is in excellent condition. It exhibits very little use; wear is evident on grip and grommets only. May have minor paint defects.

Grade B - Great

Racket is in great condition. It has been used and shows some minor cosmetic wear on the frame. Does not exhibit wear from play that exposes graphite. Frame is not damaged from strings as a result of poor grommet care.

Grade C - Good

Racket is in good condition. Exhibits clear wear from groundstrokes in multiple places on the frame. May have paint chips and/or may have a very small amount of graphite exposed from play.

Grade D - Good

Racket is in OK condition. While the racket is playable, it exhibits abundant wear on the bumper guard, paint, grip, and/or grommets. Frame probably has graphite exposed from ground contact.
