Overview
Pre-strung with Lynx 17g Anthracite
The Head Pro Tour 2.0 is one of the most iconic racket molds in the history of tennis. Originally released as the Pro Tour 280 in the USA (and Pro Tour 630 in Europe), this racket has developed an almost mythical following amongst purists and professional tennis players. Unlike the original model, this update lacks Twaron, but still retains its classic feel. It also comes with CAP grommets! With its 20mm straight beam, dense 18x20 string pattern, sub-645cm² head and 330+ RDC swingweight, the Pro Tour 2.0 delivers the response fans of traditional player's racket crave. On groundstrokes this racket provides outstanding feedback at impact, with a laser-like precision on full swings. At roughly 343 grams strung, the Pro Tour 2.0 delivers incalculable benefits of mass. In addition to feeling stable against heavy hitters, this racket will give you the needed mass to drive the ball through court. Players with developed strokes will have no problems hitting heavy spin-loaded balls that drop hard inside the lines. Our TW playtesters found the dense stringbed especially confidence inspiring allowing them to take fast swings and further maximize spin. At net the Pro Tour 2.0 does a great job redirecting pace, and the touch is exceptional. On serves experienced players will have the needed precision to swing for power. Ultimately, this is simply a must hit for serious players looking for a stable racket with surgical control and outstanding feel. With a lineage that extends back to the iconic Pro Tour 280 and 630, this is also a great collectible.
According to Head, this racket has the same head size as the original Pro Tour 630/280, which was listed as 630cm²/98in². However, based on current measuring protocols, it is closer to 613cm²/95in².

Previous Feedback
Great racket all around. You really feel connected to the trajectory and shape of the ball when you hit the sweet spot; however, off-center it becomes quite erratic. I've never served as well as I do with this racket and handling pace, like when returning serve or volleying, is made stable by the robust static weight. With good technique, all your shots are augmented. With bad technique, you'll be lucky to keep the ball in play.

Just got this great racket,a good balance between old school feel and modern power. Very comfortable, stable and feels great to volley and in the slice backhand. I was concerned with the RA of 65 but seems very flexible and with no vibrations, feels more like aroun RA 60. I recomend it to advanced players or intermediate players looking to make the jump for the next level. It's excellent to customise.Hope it stays in the market for a while.

I love this racket! The spec has stood the test of time well and isn't outdated by today's offerings (from my experience, it's not too dissimilar to the Prestige Graphene MP). The weight is good (and there is ample scope to customise it) and there is no issue with the flex rating. This racket is more than a trip down memory lane (for those that played with the original Pro Tour 630) and I believe that it is a credible daily driver for intermediate to advanced players. In my opinion- get one (or more) whilst you can!
