Our Picks: Asics Court FF 3 and KSwiss K-Frame Speed

Getting all of the playtesters to agree on a single "best" can be nearly impossible. With different foot types, different playing styles, different preferences, narrowing down the list is a task. We've settled on two of the most popular shoes among the team.

What we love about the Court FF 3: When you're designing shoes for Novak Djokovic, arguably one of the most aggressive movers on the pro tour, the tennis shoes need to offer not only support and stability, but also agility. Asics delivers on all fronts with this latest Court FF model. The Court FF 3 blends stability and a speedy feel, which won't hold you back on court.

What we love about the K-Frame Speed: Although newer to the market than the Court FF 3, the KSwiss K-Frame Speed was also designed with a pro player in mind. This time KSwiss designed shoes to meet the needs of Andrey Rublev. These bootie-fit shoes blend a plush ride with a balance of speed, stability and support. Our testers raved about these shoes when they tested them in late 2025 for their impressive comfort and support-to-weight ratio.

Our Pick: Asics Gel Resolution X

What we love: Asics overhauled the Gel Resolution for this 10th iteration. Without even looking at the internals of the Gel Resolution X, players can notice some big differences. Most notably is the higher ankle collar on the medial side. Asics also upgraded the Dynawall for even more stability, and FlyteFoam Blast+ and ECO Foam ensure plenty of cushioned comfort. The fit has also been updated to be a bit roomier, and depending on the player, could affect the performance on court. Our men's TW playtesters found the fit to be slightly long and recommend going down a half size if you find yourself between sizes. Aside from all these updates, there's no denying the Asics Gel Resolution X is one of the most durable shoes on the market.

Our Picks: KSwiss Hypercourt Pinnacle and adidas Barricade 14

What we love about the Pinnacle: This new edition to KSwiss' men's tennis shoe line up is impressive. Designed for pro level players, the Pinnacles deliver on the support and stability front. This new model also somehow delivered plenty of cushioning without feeling too elevated underfoot, which meant our playtesters felt confident making any moves on the court. The praise kept on coming, and the team found these shoes fit a range of foot types, from narrow to wide. The one downside came with durability. Although stable, these shoes weren't the most durable, and one of our playtesters wore a hole in the toe within a month of play.

What we love about the Barricade 14: When thinking of stable tennis shoes, it wouldn't be surprising if Barricade was the first model to pop into mind. Our Picks: Nike Vapor 12 and Asics Solution Speed 4

What we love about the Vapor 12: With the release of the Vapor 12 in 2025, Nike went back to what the line became known for: lightweight speed and comfort. For reference, our measurements put the Vapor 12s about an ounce lighter than the previous version. And an ounce on the tennis court can mean a lot! The return of the finger lacing system also means players can get a secure fit in these Vapor 12s.

What we love about the Solution Speed FF 4: With this latest iteration, the Solution Speed FF 4 continues to deliver plenty of speed around the court along with some nice cushioning underfoot. When shoes are light, sometimes support and stability can be lacking. That's not the case with the Solution Speed FF 4. Our playtesters felt well supported, and although not as stable as something like the Gel Resolution X, these Solution Speeds were trustworthy for lateral movements as well.

Our Picks: Babolat SFX 4 and Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour 2

What we love about the Babolat SFX 4: Designed for exceptional all-day comfort, the Babolat SFX 4s offer ample underfoot cushioning and a signature roomy fit. The Extra Cush foam midsole delivers an ultra-soft, plush ride, and the breathable mesh upper adds some nice flexibility and ventilation. All in all, the Babolat SFX 4s impress with their super plush cushioning, ventilation and reliable traction, but because the fit is roomy, some players might want to consider adjusting sizes to get that perfect, secure feel.

What we love about the Wave Enforce Tour 2: The Wave Enforce Tour series from Mizuno quickly became an in-house favorite for our Tennis Warehouse playtesters. This second generation doubles down on the comfort and stability of the Wave Enforce Tour with ENERZY NXT foam in the midsole and a new Dyna-Heel Lock Lite for increased security around the back of the foot. These shoes run on the generous side of medium so are a better fit for medium to slightly wide feet.

Our Picks: adidas Defiant Speed 2 and Asics Game FF

What we love about the Defiant Speed 2: Released in 2024, the Defiant Speed 2 captured our playtesters' attention for its mix of lightweight on-court performance and off-court style. This shoe also gets pro player approval and is worn on tour by Alexander Zverev. With its speedy feel, comfort and great price, the Defiant Speed 2 is an excellent all-court option.

What we love about the Gel Game FF: The Asics Gel Game FF is an excellent choice for dedicated club players looking for a balance of performance and value. It delivers lightweight comfort along with reliable all-around performance, making it one of the best options in its price range.

Our Picks: adidas Avaluxe and Wilson Intrigue Tour

What we love about the adidas Avaluxe: These shoes have come with a variety of names. Now called the adidas Avaluxe, we've known them previously as the Stella Court and before that the adidas Stella Barricade Boost. No matter the name, these shoes have been a longtime favorite. They are loved for their all-around performance and top-notch comfort for a variety of foot types.

What we love about the Wilson Intrigue Tour: The Wilson design team worked with WTA player Marta Kostyuk to craft tennis shoes to fit the needs of female tennis players. Marta's desire was to develope tennis shoes that delivered the feel of high-performance running shoes meant for racing around the tennis court. With that directive in mind, Wilson's designers came up with the Intrigue Tour. The new flagship women's shoe from Wilson quickly won over our playtesters for their comfort and performance feel. If you're choosing between the Intrigue Tour and the adidas Avaluxe and have wider feet, we find the Avaluxe fits better than the Intrigue Tour.

Our Pick: Asics Gel Resolution X

What we love: Rightly so the Asics Gel Resolution series has gained a reputation over the years for being very stable and durable. This latest version does not veer from that recipe, offering durability for aggressive movers. These shoes are definitely built for the up-and-coming junior, a college player or a die-hard league player who are hard on their shoes. PGUARD protection on the medial side of the toe box holds up to sliding on hard court surfaces, and a higher medial ankle collar helps with support. One thing to note is that these shoes are quite built up and require breaking in.

Our Pick: adidas Barricade 14

What we love: There are few, if any, tennis shoes with a more storied history than the adidas Barricade. The Barricade 14 is designed to be lighter and faster than Barricades of yesteryear, yet it still offers the stability that made this franchise a player favorite. Our playtesters are no strangers to the Barricades and loved the comfort and stability, and they were pleasantly surprised that there was no break-in period like in past versions.

Our Pick: Nike Zoom Vapor 12 and Asics Solution Speed FF 4

What we love: These Nike Zoom Vapor 12 women's shoes are lighter than the previous version by an ounce and even more responsive. Our playtesters loved the look of these Nike Vapor 12s, and they thought they offered good stability for such lightweight shoes. Although these shoes don't offer loads of cushioning, the Vapor 12s deliver explosive court speed and lots of style options.

What we love about the Solution Speed FF 4: With the women's review is just wrapping up, the Solution Speed FF 4 is landing on our best of list for its blend of speed, comfort and stability. The shoes also have a great blend of traction to help cover the court quickly. Our one caveat is that these shoes do fit on the short side, and most of our playtesters opted to wear a half size larger than normal for the review.

Our Picks: Babolat SFX4 and Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour 2

What we love about the Babolat SFX 4: Our playtesters loved the Babolat SFX 4 for its exceptional all-day comfort and plush cushioning underfoot. They praised the Extra Cush midsole for a soft, responsive feel and the breathable mesh upper for added flexibility and ventilation. While the roomy fit was a hit for comfort, some testers noted it may not suit every foot shape, so sizing adjustments might be needed. Overall, the SFX 4 impressed for comfort, traction, and playability—especially for those with wider feet.

What we love about the Wave Enforce Tour 2: The Wave Enforce Tour 2s have a soft, cushioned feel right from the start. The cushioning gets updated to the ENERZ NXT foam for a responsive feel, and the uppers feel light and pliable. We do caution that our women's playtest team found these shoes to run a bit short, and some of them opted to wear a half size larger than usual.

Our Picks: Nike Vapor Lite 3 and Babolat Jet Tere 2

What we love about the Vapor Lite 3: To start, these Nike Vapor Lite 3s are great looking shoes, and their starting price point is under 85€. For this price, you're getting a lightweight and versatile shoe that looks great on and off the court. These shoes feel fast on the court, but they're also not going to be the most durable shoes in Nike's lineup.

What we love about the Jet Tere 2:

The Babolat Jet Tere 2 Women's remains the lightest court shoe in Babolat's lineup, now featuring a more accommodating fit and a breathable mesh upper with added forefoot protection for durability. Increased cushioning delivers a softer, more comfortable ride, while Active Flexion technology and a durable Michelin rubber outsole provide responsive traction. Our playtesters praised the shoe's lightweight feel and improved comfort, making it easy to move quickly around the court. While stability is best suited for moderate rather than aggressive movers, the Jet Tere 2 is an excellent choice for players who prioritize speed and all-day comfort.
