Description

Comments: A nice stiff low powered string -- very, very similar to Lux ALU Power, but at a much lower price point. I use a full bed of this in my 2017 Pure Strike 16x19 (ProjectOne7) frame strung at 46 lbs. I am a big hitter off both sides (Babolat POP PIQ score of 8,000 give or take 50 points either way on a given day as a reference for you POP users) and this string provides excellent all court control and near (but not quite) the feel and ball pocketing of ALU power. Spin potential in a 16x19 frame is about average. The only downside so far, when this stuff has reached it's end life, it goes completely dead. Its not a gradual drop off either, it happens pretty abruptly. For me, this appears to kick in after 7-8 hours of heavy hitting. Other than that -- no complaints.

Comments: I am 59 years old and a 4.0 all court player. This is a very good poly. It is firm so string it lower. I like a crisp string bed and use it as a cross with a 16 g multi in the mains in a 98 square inch frame. I would not string this above 50 lbs. Control and spin are excellent. The TW string database also has good tension maintenance numbers for this string and it does last well for poly. I highly recommend it.

Comments: I'm a 45 year old male player. Strung Max Power 1.30 at 55 lbs in mains and 1.25 at 53 lbs in the crosses. Coming from stiff racquets, I now play with the Yonex Ai 98. From what I've read, I expected the MaxPower to be too stiff and very low powered. But I found these strings to have good power, not a single moment I felt it was low. Also I didn't find any stiffness at all. The Yonex is a flexy and comfy racquet, so that helps maybe. Also, the feel was good. With this racquet, if I wanted I could even have a stiffer and lower powered string. Control is good, but that's no surprise.

Comments: Great, great stuff. I wouldn't say these strings surpass ALU Power, but the difference is so negligible that I like these more given they cost 4 dollars less. The few differences come from the level of power and feel. Max Power isn't quite as good on the feel front, somewhat lacking touch (as expected for a poly), but still offering better feel than many other polys. Also, it's lower powered, which I like since I've started using it in a hybrid with multifilament mains. This hybrid paired with my Wilson ProStaff 97 (the non RF version) makes for an excellent combination. I love the spin, control, and ample feel that these strings supply, and I'll be using these as my go-to polyester string from now on.
