Overview
Wilson updates the feel of one of their most solid spin machines. ItR019s called the Burn 100 S CV and it is ideal for the aggressive player looking to dominate the court with pace and spin. Compared to its predecessor this update offers an increase in flexibility as well as a more head light balance (see comfort and speed). Boasting an 18x16 Spin Effect string pattern, the Burn 100 S is designed to put a tight grip on the ball, resulting in easier access to spin. ThereR019s also some welcomed vibration dampening thanks to the introduction of Countervail - a material technology designed to soften the effects of ball impact and counter muscle fatigue. From the baseline this racquet is slightly easier on the arm than its predecessor. Although the static 318 gram strung weight is manageable for intermediates, the 325 swingweight will give the advanced player plenty of plow through and stability. The upshot is a racquet that rewards big strokes with a powerful, spin loaded ball that hops off the court. On serve the combination of spin, precision and pop will give you the ability to force some very weak replies. With some incremental updates to the feel and specs, Wilson has produced an impressive weapon for intermediate and advanced ball strikers.
Additional technologies include Parallel Drilling, which enables the strings to absorb more vibration and transfer more power to the ball; X2 Shaft and X2 Ergo Grip Boosters, which features a longer grip along with optional inserts to provide extra leverage to players with two-handed backhands
