Summary

Speed, power and precision: this is the formula that separates the Wilson Blade Pro 100 v10 from the rest of the Blade lineup. Built with the thickest, firmest beam in the family, this 100-square-inch racquet is slightly longer at 27.25 inches (versus the standard 27 inches) and is paired with a 16x20 string pattern, creating a blend of pop and control. It also benefits from the Blade v10 technology updates, including StableFeel+ for improved stability on off-center contact, tighter spec tolerances for easier frame matching, Wilson's FORTYFIVE layup for optimized flex and Direct Connect technology for a cleaner, more connected feel. Our playtest team knew this Blade was different from the first hit. The racquet swings fast, delivers easy power and offers a level of control that inspires confidence anywhere on the court. No wonder so many WTA pros endorse it! Whether flattening out groundstrokes, carving angles or stepping up on flat first serves, our playtesters found this Blade Pro 100 v10 to be versatile and reliable in every situation. The consensus? This isn't just another Blade; the Blade Pro 100 might just be the standout of the entire v10 release.

Positives

Easy power for a Blade
Quick and maneuverable
Good platform for customization

Negatives

No universal dislikes

Breakdown

Groundstrokes: 8.6

The Blade 100 Pro v10 proved to play very solidly from the baseline for all four of our playtesters. After checking the specs, Michelle had a strong hunch that she'd love playing with this Blade 100 Pro. She described, "I'm not always the target player for the Blade family of racquets because I tend to like more powerful racquets, but when I saw the specs of this racquet I was all in! I simply loved this racquet! And I don't think I'm alone seeing as it's endorsed by some amazing WTA players whose games I love and respect (Andreeva, Ostapenko, Anismova and more). That said, it was a little light for what I like, so I would use this as a platform racquet for sure. Even without customization, I could get the ball zinging with pace and depth. The stringbed felt forgiving, and I was ramping up my power compared to the Blade 98 16x19 v10, which I tested alongside this racquet. I feel like the Blade 100 Pro v10 is a bit string sensitive, and we playtested it with ALU Power, which is not my favorite. I am excited to try some more setups at a little higher tension. Quick-strike tennis was easy with this racquet. I liked having that extra cross string for a little added control, confidence and precision. As of April 2026, I would say this is my favorite racquet currently in the Wilson lineup!"

"I felt like I could dictate points and change directions from the baseline with ease, and it had enough put-away power to end points."

-Michelle

"It's not often that I enjoy an extended racquet," added Zsofi. "But this Blade 100 Pro was super impressive! This racquet really shines on the baseline, and I felt like I was able to dictate rallies very easily. I loved the amount of spin I was able to get, but I was also able to switch it up and hit flat shots easily. The amount of spin I was getting was truly amazing, and it suited my game really well. I was getting a great amount of pretty easy power, but it was still mostly controllable. It became a bit launchy in some instances, and I realized I had to dial back my shots a bit. In the future, I would probably go higher in tension and maybe add a bit of weight to make it perfect. Overall, the Blade 100 Pro v10 feels like a very versatile racquet, and I was able to tap into those nice touch shots anytime, which are important to my game. The response from the racquet and overall comfort levels were amazing! The ball sits nicely in the stringbed, and I felt super connected to my shots. Even though this is an extended racquet, it felt very maneuverable. The racquet head came around fast, which allowed for easy flick-of-the-wrist type adjustments if needed."

The specs of the Blade 100 Pro v10 were interesting to Brittany, who usually uses the Yonex EZONE 100. She explained, "They aren't the standard 'tweener specs I'm used to; I had a small adjustment period of about 2 to 3 hours to get used to the Blade 100 Pro v10. The more I played with it, the more I liked it, and I was able to tap into its potential. From the baseline, I felt like I was on the WTA tour. The flatter and faster I swung, the better my results. My groundstrokes were landing deep in the court with solid power. I was able to get great depth on my shots but still control them (the ball wasn't flying). When I was playing aggressively this racquet felt unstoppable. However, I struggled when I was defensive or counterpunching, and the racquet didn't feel as forgiving. Topspin was just OK. I wasn't able to dial in my sharper angled shots, but I did like the Blade 100 Pro v10 on my defensive slice backhands."

"Image

Kyla especially enjoyed the speed, pop and overall maneuverability of the Blade 100 Pro v10. She said, "It was easy to generate racquet head speed, which helped with aggressive swings. However, I did feel like I lost a bit of spring and consistency compared to what I'm used to, especially on my backhand. Despite being a control-oriented racquet, I felt like the margin for error on placement was slightly smaller."

Volleys: 8.7

Our playtest team found the Blade Pro 100 v10 to be stable, fast and easy to maneuver when volleying at net. "I was actually a little shocked by how much I liked this racquet at net," said Brittany. "And in turn, how much I liked playing doubles with it. I had no problems with stability on harder hit passing shots, which allowed me to have confidence to successfully poach in doubles. The feel was just OK for me. I didn't feel super connected, but I could drop the ball short from time to time, though I favored punching a majority of the volleys deep."

Zsofi was able to hit all of her volleys with the Blade 100 Pro v10, which came in handy at net. She explained, "I felt confident hitting touch volleys or finishing points with more aggressive volleys. The Blade 100 Pro v10 was easy to maneuver at net, and I enjoyed a bit of that extra reach!"

"Image

The Blade 100 Pro v10 provided Michelle with everything she needed on volleys. She said, "At net, I could be aggressive and punch volleys deep or drop them short. Swinging volleys were fun and juicy to hit, and I could follow them forward aggressively. The Blade 100 Pro v10 performed solidly at the net for my game."

Kyla also appreciated the Blade 100 Pro v10's dependable performance at net. She said, “The Blade 100 Pro v10 was quick to get into position, making it easy to react to fast exchanges. I found myself hitting deep, punching volleys rather than softer touch shots with this racquet."

Serves: 8.5

The Blade Pro 100 v10 offered our playtesters easy access to power, especially on first serves. Zsofi felt confident serving with the Blade 100 Pro v10. She said, "While it wasn't my favorite shot with this racquet, I definitely enjoyed the extra pop I was getting on serves from the extended length! I preferred hitting flatter first serves with this racquet."

Brittany thought the Blade 100 Pro v10 did its job on her serve. She described, "On first serves, this Blade 100 Pro v10 was easy to get up over my head time and time again, and I could tap into pace when I needed to. Looking at my Zenniz data, I was averaging the same pace as my racquet of choice on first serves (around 90 mph) consistently, but for whatever reason, I was a little more neutral on second serves. My second serves were easier to attack (maybe sitting up a tiny bit more in my opponent's strike zone), so I felt a little more pressure to go after them.”

"Image

When she was testing the Blade 98 16x19 on serves, Michelle found the power lacking somewhat when she was serving with the Blade 98 16x19, but that wasn’t the case when she was serving with the Blade 100 Pro v10. She said, "Power came naturally on my serves without me having to go out of my way to find it. I also felt really connected to my targets. I could generate good kick and slice on second serves, allowing me to feel less vulnerable when serving."

Kyla thought this Blade 100 Pro v10 felt solid on serves but not exceptional. She explained, "I had good success with body serves and flatter drive serves, where I could take advantage of the racquet's pop. However, I struggled a bit more with generating spin on kick serves. The Blade 100 Pro v10 felt dependable, but it wasn’t as spin-friendly as I would prefer."

Returns: 8.6

All of our testers felt that the Blade Pro 100 v10 enhanced their serve returns. Returning was one of Brittany's favorite parts of the playtest. She said, "No surprise here, I preferred returning with the Blade Pro 100 v10 over serving with it. Similar to some of the other categories, I was able to be aggressive and really step in to my return of serve, starting points off on the offensive. Even when I was returning a harder hit first serve (105+ mph), I did not have any issues with stability, and the racquet felt secure in my hands."

"The Blade 100 Pro v10 really absorbed pace well, and I was able to redirect to smaller targets."

-Brittany

"Returns were enjoyable with this racquet," added Zsofi. "I never really felt pushed around by heavy serves. I also loved the extended reach and easy maneuverability, which allowed me to reach for wider shots and slice them back aggressively."

Kayla found the Blade Pro 100 v10 very quick and stable, making it perfect for returning aggressive serves. She described, "The Blade Pro 100 v10’s maneuverability made it easy for me to get into position on time, even against faster serves. I was able to stay fairly aggressive without feeling out of control. It also felt solid on contact, which helped with confidence when encountering bigger first serves."

How she returns with a racquet can make or break a playtest for Michelle. With the Blade 100 Pro v10, she felt like she had access to every return imaginable, and they all felt effective when deployed. She explained, "I could rip balls down the line or pick an inside-out attacking shot. I could also target the ball deep and high into the court to change things up. I could slice or even attempt a drop shot; it's definitely not what I am known for, but I felt connected to this racquet and could do it when it felt like an option."

After we tested the Wilson Ultra 99 Pro, a lot of people assumed I would switch to that racquet. I would take this Blade Pro 100 v10 over the Ultra 99 Pro for a few reasons, including the 16x20 string pattern and the fact it offers a lower static weight and swingweight to leave room for customization. The Blade Pro 100 v10 felt more direct and precise, and I personally felt more connected to the shots I was hitting.

Likes

Easy power, quick to generate spin, explosively fast, a great platform racquet, good precision.

Dislikes

The Blade Pro 100 v10 feels a bit string sensitive to me, and once Luxilon ALU Power bagged out, I caught myself overhitting a bit. The racquet does have a higher stiffness rating than the Blade 98 16x19 and 18x20, so that's something I would make sure players are aware of.

This Blade Pro 100 v10 is very close to my heart because it plays super similarly to the racquet I played with in college, the Steam 100 BLX. This Blade Pro 100 v10 reminded me of that in an amazing way. I don't normally like to play with extended racquets, so I can't really give a better comparison. This racquet just feels unique to me in the way it plays, and it is a must-try!

Likes

Amazing spin, easy power and the racquet head is quick through the air.

Dislikes

The Blade Pro 100 v10 can get a tad bit launchy at times; I would love to customize it a bit to avoid this issue.

The easiest comparison would be to the Wilson Blade 100. I did have a longer adjustment period to get used to this Blade Pro 100 v10, but I found it to be more maneuverable and more stable thanks to the swingweight and extended length. I felt like the standard Blade 100 provided more easy power and spin, and it was a little more forgiving. Fans of the Wilson Steam from many years ago should give this Blade Pro 100 v10 a try. Other similar racquets include the Yonex Percept 100D and Babolat Pure Strike 100.

Likes

I like the combination of maneuverability and stability as well as controllable depth.

Dislikes

This racquet is great when I'm playing aggressive, offensive tennis. It was hard to maintain that throughout the playtest because sometimes I rely on my defense and counterpunching skills.

4.0 level baseline player with a semi-western forehand and a two-handed backhand. Her current racquet of choice is a Tecnifibre TF40 305g (16x19).

This was my first time trying a Blade, and I liked it overall. It actually felt somewhat similar to the Yonex VCORE I tested, although a bit more controlled. Compared to my racquet of choice, the Tecnifibre TF40 305g (16x19), the Blade Pro 100 v10 felt punchier and easier to accelerate. It offers a different balance of power and control than my racquet. All in all, I really enjoyed hitting with this racquet, and it will definitely make it into my regular rotation.

Likes

I really like the maneuverability of the Blade Pro 100 v10. The pop and speed I get with this frame are really nice. The racquet feels stable and responsive at the same time.

Dislikes

I feel like the spin potential was reduced, especially on my backhands. The consistency with the Blade Pro 100 v10 isn't quite where I wanted it to be.
