For me this string has no power.I dont like the feel at impact, it feels like dead string. it's quite inconsistent on the stringbed, it breaks after 3 hours of play. The strings were fraying very quickly, and it moves at lot after 30 mins of hitting. The only positive is the softness. This is far behind the VOLKL POWER FIBER PRO in all aspects.

String is comfortable and powerful no doubt, but I miss the snapback. Strings don't glide well as described from Head. Price is more than fair. I can recommend the string to someone who wants to switch to a full multi bed because of suffering from elbow, wrist and shoulder pain. I tested the black and the white edition and both behave same I would say.

Comments: I am a longtime fan of Head RIP Control, which is a great "control/feel" string by the way. This year I decided to experiment a bit with strings so I tried many multis. Velocity MLT provides similar qualities, but with a bit more comfort and power. It feels slightly muted at first and I had to adjust to it, but generally, I liked the added elasticity and softness of Velocity. Hitting powerful shots suddenly became easier. Great compromise between control, touch, and power. Going back to RIP Control after Velocity, it felt much more demanding and stiff.

Comments: Got this string in a demo and was blown away. I'd been using Tonic+ for three times the price and this feels so much better, like a multi and poly had a baby. Won't hit with anything else now. Diamond in the rough.

Comments: Really surprised by how good this string is. Polys are no good for my arm so I've been testing high end multis by Tecnifibre, Gamma, Kirschbaum, Wilson etc. Then tried this at the lower price range in both the 1.25 and 1.30. I agree 100% with the comment about this being a multi that is very soft on the arm but plays like a poly. It's all in the coating over the multi strand fibres, which kills vibration (only time I've not needed a dampener), a load of power at 48lbs, but all the spin of a poly because the coating allows the strings to catapult the ball and return to position. Very consistent stringbed too unlike many multis, and an enlarged sweetspot. I was put off by the comparatively cheap prioce at first ("it can't be that good"), but trust me, this is a seriously good modern multi. Great to have it available in black and natural. The 1.30 unsurprisingly bring a bit more control than the 1.25. Tested in Yonex Ezone DR98.

Comments: I play-tested a Head MicroGEL Radical Midplus (18x20) from TW with the Velocity 16g originally strung at 55lbs or 56lbs. The racquet didn't fit my game (ultimately too low of launch angle) but the string impressed me some. The playability was very consistent throughout the week long play-test, which is one of the things I look for in a string. That means I could also take a bigger rip at the ball (bottom-bevel eastern forehand to produce some spin/one-handed backhand) and the strings would stay in place. I also was waiting for the string to change its nature, so to speak (get stiffer, spongy, etc.), but it never did. From this observation, I expect its playability duration to be notable as well. I currently have the 17g version in the mains, Wilson NXT in the crosses, both at 55lbs, and the playability duration as well as the playability consistency has been impressive for weeks (after the typical initial tension drop from stringing). FYI, I'm not a string breaker, so I can't comment on durability to heavy spin. However, heavier spin players may like this as a cross string to soften the string bed some. Know it's not the softest string, so I wouldn't recommend it to someone who likes a very soft feel like Alpha Gut 2000 or NXT. It still has a softness to it, and a touch of feel/ball-connectedness, but more on the crisper, slightly muted, control-oriented, medium-powered, side of multis. Although I'm still experimenting as I'm looking for some more comfort than this in a full bed, the price/performance ratio will be tough to beat for me. If you are a multi fan and want more control in a full bed or hybrid, give it a go!

Comments: I have tried around 15 multi strings, full bed and poly hybrids, all from the top brands. This string is in a class of it's own. I have settled on this as a main with either poly or Ashaway Monogut ZX (Zyex) crosses (depending on my tennis elbow).Bought a reel -- after 10 years the search is over!

Comments: Great multi that plays like a poly. So easy on the arm, almost like NRG. The power is low so swing away and watch the ball drop in. I had to check the package to make sure it was a multi. Best string out there with a low price you must try this string. Great job by Head.
From:Greg, 7/5/17

Comments: Sweet Georgia Brown this string is great. Great control and spin -- almost like a poly but so easy on the joints like butter. How can this be so good and priced below 10 bucks. Buy this today and string lower then normal and watch your game improve.
From:Frank, 6/29/17

Comments: I'm a 4.0 player and this is the best string I have used. Easy on the arm and lasts a long time. Good ball response when it hits the strings and a solid feel and hit every time. Head has done a great job with this one!

Comments: Love this string. I use it as a cross with poly mains. Good amount of power and comfort. Doesn't feel mushy. The coating is pretty slick and gives you good snapback for spin, but once you wear through that coating it'll fray pretty fast and break so I can't comment on tension maintenance. At half the price of NXT I don't mind having to restring as often.

Comments: My favorite multi I've ever played with. So many multifilaments feel mushy yet overpowered to me, but Velocity MLT has the perfect balance of power, feel and control.
From:Bernie, 4/24/17

Comments: This is the best multi I've ever played with. Power, comfort, spin, it's all there. Also the string holds up very nicely. I normally break multis after 10 hours of play and Velocity is holding up nicely. Very little notching. The super slick coating lets the mains snap back much like a poly. I'm using a full bed at 55 pounds strung in a Wilson PS97S.

Comments: I have tried many strings over time and this is the best ever. Power, comfort, control and feel in abundance! Good durability too, and at a very reasonable price. I hope it doesn't get discontinued too soon, but I'm going to stock up just in case. This is the string I've been searching for. Highly recommmended.

Comments: This is an awesome string. I had it on my Head Graphene XT Prestige MP. First time I had it a bit tight at 54 lbs for my liking, but once I played with it for a bit, the tension dropped some (not massively) and it was perfect. The second time, I dropped the tension to 51 lbs and it was perfect as soon as it came off the machine. It's nice and soft, great for TE sufferers. However, still had plenty of feel and touch. Power and spin was there when I needed it too. Very little string movement too. Highly recommend it.
From:Cam, 3/16

Comments: Velocity is one of the top multifilament strings for spin, durability, and comfort. I highly recommend Velocity to the people who play with expensive multifilament strings such as X-1 Biphase, Xcel, or NXT. Its spin and durability are better than them and its price is only less than $10.
